I really adore the song Ride by Lana Del Rey. Just the words, I sometimes see myself in it. It has been clear about the music video that the dreams of Lana Del Rey being a poet did not quite come true, and instead of becoming one she chose the path of a singer. But I read something also like, that she did not had a proper home for some time, so she appears to take shelter in a series of different men. Probably because she is touring to promote her album?
"I was in the winter of my life—and the men I met along the road were my only summer."
I am not sure, but the whole idea of it, it is perfect. I also love the music video, it sometimes was awkward to see her 'interact' with older men, but I get the message, I think that is the most important thing of the whole song. Love it!
"I am fucking crazy. But I am free."
I am busy with a project at school about fashion photos. Like Haute Couture, High Fashion this avant garde stuff. So I went on research to fashion ad campaigns, they always have the most amazing photo shoots ever. Thanks to my big sister - Fashionista - she has the biggest fashion library in her room, and her closet is a fashion museum! She happen to have copies of Dior Cherie because she finds the photo shoot of the ad campaign most wonderful! Well I could not agree more. These photos look amazing. Very Alice in Wonderland, which most of the fashion photos around the world is based on, but I guess it is never to wrong!

- Old baby blue zhirt from my dad - Over sized -
- Galactic Tank Top from Etzy
- Grey Low waist skinny jeans from H&M
- Belt from H&M
- Sneaker from H&M
Ok, I tried to combine a fresh look. Since the Galactic Nebula print is very in the early winter season, I chose a print with fresh tones. and I kept it simple and airy. It might look cold to wear, but remember:
fashionroad kill, it's okay - lady gaga
People will look at you like with faces of "Isn't that to cold to wear?". Which means the vibe of the style succeeded. Of course it is also the time of the season where it is crazy to wear t-shirts because of the cold. But layer a couple of shirts underneath if you really can not stand the cold, but really want to rock this style! : )
The attention of this look will be all focused to the torso, almost giving it a feel of "torso only-no legs". The simpler, the fresher.
But to give the waist a bit of a tré-chique accent, wear a belt. a black one to stand out, and since it's all about the upper body, the stripe in the middle instantly tells the spectator, this is my waist. since the shirt is going to look over sized ( which is how you wear it ) the belt will do fine to show others your figure!
Keep it simple stupid
Inspiration for the look/belt:
Great huh? I totally adore the look. Their music is great too!
How to wear the look?
- Try to get the most fresh looking galaxy-printed tank top, or t-shirt. Think of light-blue, fresh pink maybe mint. The fresher, exploding looking, the better.
- Try to go for an over sized light blue fresh shirt. The over sized it is the better. It has to look a bit baggy from the up, when you're going to accentuate your legs with the skinny jeans. Wear the shirt over the galaxy tank top and button up only the lowest buttons to the button that reaches your bellybutton, and leave the rest open. This will give the airy, breezy look.
- Wear the belt a bit on the loose side, if the blue shirt is to much over sized it is going to look like a tutu. Loosen it until the lower end slightly forms the curve of your hips. and it is totally the look to have the upper part of the shirt buckle over the belt from the back. The belt is doing awesome enough for the front for the front!
- all over the top, gray sneaker. any gray sneaker will do the look, just make it match with the color of the skinny, so they both blend to one. Gray converse are great to. The white tips adds a little old school style, which is never wrong!
So, I just came after that the co-finder of Tokidoki is a man! I find that extremely cool, it got me and my friends thinking. We always thought there were females behind the product! But no, cute is for the guys too! I also came to find out that Tokidoki means sometimes. Really interesting! I am a fan of the brand, and always be! This guys is pretty awesome!
tokidoki means “sometimes” in Japanese. Legno, who has always had a deep love of Japan and fascination with world cultures, chose the word because he feels “everyone waits for moments that change one’s destiny, by chance or by meeting a new person”. Simone's special moment arrived when his designs drew the attention of entrepreneurs Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold, who spied the art on his personal website and convinced him to move to L.A. to start up a dynamic new partnership with them.
Simone Legno is Simone Legno is also a Creative Director, he is going in my list of idols I adore and are Creative Directors, it is my dream to become one too! Waahoo!
“tokidoki is the hope, the hidden energy that everyone has inside, It gives us the strength to face a new day and dream about something positive and the hope that something magical will happen to us.” - Simone Legno

"Fifi Lapin ... The world most stylish bunny' - ELLE Magazine
I am really amazed, the design is so adorable, simple, not even perfect, but it is flawless in a way and attractive to the feminine public - I believe some guys like this too he he - who dares to say no those this outmost cutefied character! Love it! Sorry Hello Kitty, I think I find your opponent.
It probably is the oldest thing now to talk about, but I just stumble upon the cutest ELLE Cover on Google when I was browsing for Versace Prints - Doing a research about how they got inspired to make such amazing orgasmic prints - However, the ELLE Cover features Hello Kitty! You might think that it is probably just another illustration about Hello Kitty, but no! They actually used an actual person in a Hello Kitty costume. Oh well the head still has the size of the actual Hello Kitty Illustration! I really adore the cover. For a change, not an exact human being on the cover but and Illustration that came to life! I felt inspired when I saw this. Inspired ... Mmm! New addiction? Sanrio got many adorable characters to drool about. Yep, that's my next research!

Love the switch of the colors, giving the environment the very pink
Hello Kitty color tone, while having Hello Kitty wear the stylish black
themed outfit. also the outfit is something for the Kitty herself. With
that I personally think she could stand on the cover of vogue, with of
course the pose. and I surely do not think that the purse she is wearing
is to much. It adds some fashion sense to the Kitty. Love Love Love!
How often do you think about the future? Well I do it all the time, but trust me I'm negative about it most of the time. You can compare me with a meerkat, I'm always start a phrase with "what if". and I do it all the time, that after a while, I'm getting pretty much paranoid about it. Which comes in mind, Paranormal stuff. I like it so much. 6th sense? Totally believe in it. I sometimes think of it to have a 6th sense myself. It often occur while I'm busy in my sketchbook, making art about what's going to happen. Believe it or not 1 out of 6 times it does happen! It's just to bad my so proclaimed 6th can't warn me on times where I'm about to spend buck-loads of money - the inspiration to do so -.
But back to where I wanted to talk about in the first place, the future. I'm an art student, and I'm suffering from anorexic wallet and I just bought an expensive designer coat. What will happen to me? Well I'm predicting, that I'll soon quit the academy, for financial reasons and I believe it's not what I wanted to do after all. I feel unhappy with the assignments and the things we learn. But yet I feel so happy with I attended and got in the academy. My class is amazing, the academy is amazing! They accept any kind of sub culture. Whether you like to wear your PJ's or walk in socks in academy, or want to dress up. People don't care! Well maybe the fresh-mens do, but everyday we get told that it's fine to do what you want to do, the crazier the better, "break the chain of the regular citizen". It's everyone's goal in the academy to fin their unique position in the world of art, and to do so, you've got to start with clearing your mind and let kill you darlings.
To be able to feel free in what ever you like to do in the academy, our environment stimulate us by bombarding us with crazy modern art we've never heard of, or tell things to mindfuck us - they like to do that allot! - Well the 1st period is already done, I'm in my 2nd period of the freshmen year, and I must tell you, I've learned alot! I even get to be that fond of modern art, which made me purchase the MMM Duvet Coat and actually wear it outside! - For which I'm still collecting courage for to do so - I must say, their words are so convincing, they got me hooked up deeply in the lifestyle of a modern artist. Have I found my unique spot in the world? Yes and No. I know that being to much of a unique person is hard to get people convinced, while having a little uniqueness gets much better in getting noticed. Our school doesn't accept copy paste at all! Only in certain cases like, citate any kind of video's or photo's and make a collage out of it or something. It's been told to me a graduate student of the academy even won an award by art-citate, which isn't original, but the metaphor and symbols used of existing products, all combined, apparently made a big impression on the judge. So in a way it's still appropriate.
But hey, the future. I'm going to keep it short, I talked to much of my academy already. So my "6th sense" says, I won't finish the art-academy, in fact I'll end somewhere in December. I'm going to start a company with my best friend and collaborate together - illustrations on t-shirts etc. - I'll be called CEO / Creative Director soon. Will it be successful? Well if one believes in it, it shall be. Will it be big? To be successful you don't have to end up big. I believe in the fact that it's a thought or a dream we both believe in now, so we've already succeed our barrier from regular art students to upcoming free bitches in business!
Cheers :)
Ps: I might post something about slenderman the next post! something go me interested.
